In 1989 we began to teach a plastic injection course following the usual method of teaching (a classroom where the students and the teacher met). A few months later we added another course about the vacuum forming technique and soon after that people from the inner country begin to ask us for a distance teaching in order to avoid the troubles of transfer.
Thanks to Internet it was possible to develop a distance learning method which allowed many people living even in other countries to access to the same information.
To replace the direct contact that happens at a classroom a Consultation Service was started, which quickly became a true individual advising, so each student had the certainty of a permanent support, even after having finished his studies.
By the way we answer the questions coming from students who have already reached a professional level and have took these courses several years ago. The dialogue is greatly facilitated since the student share the same language beginning from the learning material that we send. This one allows him to formulate appropriate questions and understand our answers immediately.
With the years eight other courses were incorporated, several of which were suggested by ex students, and we found that the distance learning method offers more advantages than the traditional one:
- Each course becomes cheaper.
- The student manages his time and schedule, and learns at his own rhythm.
- The advising coming from the Consultation Service is totally free and personal.
